Impaired driver: River Road

Police were called to the scene of a single-car crash at 9:09 p.m. May 8. The driver said he had swerved to avoid hitting a deer and drove into a ditch.

The driver was found to be impaired and was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired, failure to control and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Warrant: Ridge Road

A driver was pulled over at 2:03 p.m. May 9 and was arrested on an outstanding warrant and taken to the Medina County Jail.

During the stop, a passenger stated that she was suffering an asthma attack. She was treated by EMS at the scene. She refused transport to a hospital and drove back to her home in Canton.

Theft: West 130th Street

A resident reported at 9 a.m. May 8 that the catalytic converter had been stolen from their vehicle sometime over the past week. No further information was available.
