Mazda 2 gets facelift for 2023

Mazda has unveiled the revised 2023 Mazda 2 which gets redesigned exterior

Mazda has unveiled the revised 2023 Mazda 2 which gets redesigned exterior styling and updated cabin trim. It is priced from £17,750 and available to order now.

The small car comes in four new trim levels: Centre-Line, Homura, Exclusive-Line (pictured above), and Homura Aka (pictured below). There are also two new paint colours, Aero Grey and Air Stream Blue.

All models get a new grille design with Centre-Line and Exclusive-Line models showcasing a large coloured panel across the lower section of the grille.

The grille panel is body-coloured on exterior colours such as Soul Red Crystal, Snowflake White, Platinum Quartz, Polymetal Grey and Air Stream Blue. On Machine Grey, Deep Crystal Blue, Ceramic Metallic and Aero Grey, the grille panel is in Jet Black.

Inside the Centre-Line and Exclusive-Line models, there is a similar colour combination, with a new decorative dash panel that varies depending on the exterior colour.

Air Stream Blue and Ceramic Metallic cars feature a mint-coloured dash panel, while Soul Red Crystal, Snowflake White, Platinum Quartz and Polymetal Grey cars have a pure white dash panel. The remaining exterior colours are paired with a mirror black finish.

The Homura and Homura Aka are designed for a sportier look. These feature a black honeycomb grille with a red accent tab, gloss black door mirrors, 16-inch black alloy wheels and a black shark fin roof antenna.

The Homura Aka also includes black and silver metallic machined alloy wheels, a gloss black roof, black half leather seats with red accents and a heated leather steering wheel with red stitching.

All models come equipped with navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, cruise control, integrated Bluetooth and climate control.

The sole 1.5 petrol engine remains unchanged and is available in three versions, 75PS, 90PS and 115PS, the latter reserved for the Homura Aka. An automatic gearbox is available as an option.
