EVERETT, Wash. – Boeing will soon add a fourth assembly line to produce more 737 Max aircraft.

Commercial planes CEO Stan Deal says the new line will open in Everett in the second half of next year.

Space is available in Everett because 787 production has shifted to South Carolina and Boeing is not producing any more iconic 747s.

Deal says the additional line will allow them to churn out more of the newer models of the Max.

Since U.S. and other regulators cleared the Max to resume flying, Boeing has landed large orders from United, Delta, Southwest and foreign airlines.
