Weapons Shown In Attempted Catalytic Converter Thefts: North Haven PD

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating two attempted catalytic converter

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating two attempted catalytic converter thefts in which weapons were shown Thursday night in North Haven.

Police said the first incident happened around 9:15 p.m. at 100 State St. where a witness confronted a man who was trying to cut off the catalytic converter off a car in the parking lot. The suspect displayed a handgun before leaving, according to police.

Then, at 10 p.m., two men were cutting a catalytic converter off of a car in the parking lot of 350 Universal Drive. When confronted, the suspect pointed a saw at the witness before leaving in a small silver sedan, according to police.
