3 Philly men chased and charged with catalytic converter thefts, Swarthmore and NP police say

A joint investigation of Nether Providence Township and Swarthmore police has resulted in the arrest of three Philadelphia men on Monday morning in catalytic converter thefts.

George T. Tittle IV, 43, and two passengers, Kevin K. Green, 40, and Marc Williams, 28, were taken into custody shortly before 4 a.m. after a brief chase that ended on Interstate 95 north near Route 420 about 4 a.m.

The men are charged with two counts each of theft of catalytic converter, receiving stolen property and possession of an instrument of crime. All were committed to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility, which is the Delaware County prison, in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Two catalytic converters, a power saw, hydraulic car jack and several pairs of mechanical gloves were recovered as evidence, Nether Prov police report.
